Today, we learned about the next new ship coming to Elite Dangerous: Lakon's Type-11 Prospector!

​

We don't know much yet, but we know it's a medium ship, and designed for mining. We also know it's capable of equipping a new mining module--in fact, it will be the only ship thus far able to equip that module. Furthermore, FDev hinted that this module will be used for a new type of mining--but that's all we've got on that!

Expect the Type 11 to make an appearance in a shipyard near you this fall.
