We just got our first look at the all NEW Type-8 Defender of Frontier Unlocked! Scroll down to view images of the new ship, as well as watch the full Elite: Dangerous segment on this month's Frontier Unlocked!

We didn't get many details, but we know the Type-8 is designed for Trade, is built to handle the additional stresses of Supercruise Overcharge, and fits on a medium pad!

More details were revealed about the Type-8 on today's Frontier Unlocked stream!
Hardpoints: 4 Small, 1 Medium
Optional Internals: 1 each of sizes 1, 2, 4 and 7; 2 size 5s, and 3 size 6s, yielding a total cargo capacity of 406 tons
Core Internals: Power Plant, Thrusters, FSD, and Fuel Tanks will all be size 5. Life Support and Sensors will be size 3. The Power Distributor will be size 4.
